E – Curriculum is the use of computer to enrich or accelerate learning process by providing a multi – sensory learning paradigm that rationalizes the thinking process of a learner. The computer is able to speak hence teach, provide homework, mark it and provide feedback to the learner more effectively that the human teacher can do.
Who is E - Curriculum meant for?
You take your child to school so that his or her potentials can be discovered and if they are, you hope that they are enriched and maximized. With a class population of 20plus, children having mixed abilities (slow, average and fast learners in the same class), teachers having no time to provide individual feedback, what do you expect?
E – Curriculum can be used to support the following groups:
- A low achiever in mathematics, Science, English.
- Lacks concentration or less motivated for education.
- Disorganized and has very poor time management. A low achiever in subject units and appears to be intelligent in other ways.
- A top achiever who has NEVER been “ASSESSED FOR LEARNING” and could be gifted or talented hence under-achieving in ordinary learning circumstances.
- A candidate who appears confused and less confident for forthcoming examinations.
Why e – curriculum?
- The intimidating large size of text books is hidden. So a candidate covers more without cramming.
- A computer can repeat even 1 million times without being tired or irritated.
- A computer won’t laugh or ridicule you when you make mistakes i.e. the computer keeps your privacy
- A computer marks immediately and provides you with a personalised feedback compared to your overloaded teacher who marks (with mistakes!) for more than a
week and gives generalised feedback.
- The computer material and e teacher are available 24hours suits your study time.
- The fact that it is in computer format is already a motivation and captivation for most learners.
- It provides a multi sensory learning paradigm that allows you to use all senses at the same time.
